COMPLIMENTS FROM PROFESSIONALS & AMATEURS

First, Some Sincere Compliments From the PROs

For more than 30 years, a long line of racers have depended on the benefits of Amsoil synthetic oils to cross the finish line ahead of the competition. There racers hail from just about every field of powered vehicle competition on the planet: Formula 1, motocross, snowmobile, off-shore power boating, funny car, tractor pulls, quad racing, drag racing, Baja events, personal watercraft races, super modified events, stomper truck events, demolition derbys, etc. To get an idea of just how many racing professionals use Amsoil, take a look at these two full color collections:

From the Automotive Racing World

Bobby Unser

It is no secret that Indy car racing legend Bobby Unser used AMSOIL motor oils in all his vehicles for many years, including all his race cars. He has stated more than once that all of today's high level racers use synthetic motor oils because the engines simply demand the higher quality of synthetics.

Years ago I remember hearing how his race car differentials could not hold up to the tortuous stress of even one race up Pikes Peak without needing to be rebuilt. That is, until he started using AMSOIL. Then his differentials went all season without needing to be rebuilt. This experience in his early years of racing began a long relationship with AMSOIL which extended to all of his race cars.

Bobby Unser once said: "AMSOIL is the Best Lubricant made, the Standard to which all others are judged." These are significant words coming from such an exceptional competitor. For those of you younger folk, Bobby Unser was a 3-time Indy 500 Winner with 35 overall Indy Car wins and 13 Pikes Peak Hill Climb victories to his credit.

As noted above, it's not just AMSOIL engine oils that get kudos. Severe Gear gear lube outperforms every conventional, synthetic and performance gear lube on the market. If the name Dale Earnhart sounds familiar to you, you may know that his company tested this gear lube in the differentials of their race cars and it is the only gear lube they tested which actually resolved their performance issues. AMSOIL corporate has reported that one of his race team mechanics remembered the AMSOIL name after they exhausted testing other gear lubes that all failed. When they tested the AMSOIL Severe Gear lube, it totally solved their problem.

You don't have to drive like Bobby Unser or Dale Earnhart to enjoy the benefits of AMSOIL.

Applications that are Out Of This World

Not only is synthetic oil is used in every commercial and military jet engine in the world, it is also used in all spacecraft for the same reason - its ability to withstand high and low temperature extremes. Of course, if it can handle those, it makes sense that it would also do well at moderate temperatures, which it does. Lubrication experts universally agree that synthetic lubricants are in class by themselves. They function at temperatures that would have long since turned mineral oil into a solid block or a burnt deposit of carbon.

AMSOIL Products Make Believer out of Race/Show Car Owner

Richard Giddens finds AMSOIL an Invaluable Asset for his Prize AMC Race Car.
"About three years ago a friend told me about AMSOIL products. He explained how they would conserve fuel in my Dodge pickup truck. At first I was skeptical. I thought this was just another product promising to work better than anything else. After some convincing I gave in and tried AMSOIL. My Dodge pickup was a 2000 year model with 140K miles on it. My truck typically got 19-20 MPG. That following weekend we traveled to West Texas. I carefully calculated the mileage. . .then recalculated the mileage. I was amazed to find that my truck actually got 22.23 MPG after switching to AMSOIL. That is an increase of 3 to 4 MPG.

I became a believer in this product. I added it to all of my vehicles including my 2002 41Ft. CAT Diesel motor home, 1971 AMX Javelin show car, and a 1971 AMX Drag Racing muscle car as well as my wife's 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup. The performance of all the vehicles improved, especially my 1971 AMX Dragster. This car has an 800+ HP engine with a 15:1 compression ratio.

After 10 runs down the strip the cam distributor gears went out. I replaced the gears and added standard 20W50 Castrol racing oil (not AMSOIL). The car performed at 125 MPH in the quarter mile on the first run. This was 8 MPH slower than the typical 133 MPH I was getting with the AMSOIL product. On inspection of the car after this run 1 discovered that the new gears had also stripped out. Apparently the gears had never been compatible. I replaced them once more and this time added AMSOIL. My car resumed its outstanding performance on the track at 133 MPH in 10.38 seconds. I also believe that AMSOIL actually preserved my car's gears for those first 10 runs and they would have stripped sooner without AMSOIL. Now at 191K miles, my Dodge diesel pickup continues to perform well and maintains the 22 to 23 MPG." ~ Richard Giddens

Note: The incompatible timing gears on the distributor of the AMX Drag Car lasted 10 runs before stripping out when lubricated by the AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Racing oil. The next set of distributor timing gears were also incompatible and only lasted one 1/4 mile pass with Castrol 70W-50 Racing oil.

Mark Chalkley "chalks" up some remarkable AMSOIL experiences

Mark Chalkley is a semi-retired computer programmer who also is a heavy equipment operator. His knowledge of heavy equipment allows him to frequently offer advice on TractorNet, an informational Website for agricultural equipment users. Chalkley often tells people about his experiences with AMSOIL. And those experiences have been quite remarkable.

Chalkley VW

Chalkley owns several vehicles and pieces of equipment that have benefitted from his use of AMSOIL products. He uses a 1993 Dodge pickup truck with a Cummins engine to haul loads of more than 25,000 pounds. He also has a 1997 Ford Contour and an earth mover back hoe. "I use AMSOIL in everything," Chalkley said. "I have never worn out anything that has had AMSOIL in it."

He put AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil in his 1996 Volkswagon Passat at about 10,000 miles, and put AMSOIL 75W-90 Gear Lube in the transmission shortly after. The Passat now has over 278,000 miles on it and its still running the same gear lube. Chalkley changes his motor oil in the Passat at 50,000 mile drain intervals. "There,s no by-pass kit on it either," he said, "and Ive never had a problem. Not a one."

(Editors Note: AMSOIL recommends a drain interval for the Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil that is up to two times longer than manufacturers recommendations in passenger vehicles with diesel engines if extended drain intervals are supported by the findings of a used oil analysis program, or six months, whichever comes first.)

Chalkley adds nearly a quart of oil every 4,500 miles, and has noticed that oil consumption hasn't changed in the six-year-old car at all since he switched to AMSOIL. "In fact, oil consumption actually improved since that time. Its not burning any oil," he said.

Comments from Ken Pugh

"This is my seventh car/truck that used AMSOIL products. I purchased my first diesel on March 11, 2001. The Ford Excursion had 4,727 miles on April 21, 2001 when the following fluids were changed to AMSOIL.

This SUV engine has a 100,000 mile warranty from Ford. The engine oil has been analyzed every 10,000 miles since it was new and now has more than 98,000 miles on one oil change using the BK 16 By-pass filter system, without any problems. In the last year, I have traveled over 40,000 trouble free miles, thanks to AMSOIL, and have towed a 8 1/2 X 34 foot travel trailer 10,000 miles during this time period. On February 2, 2004, the PSD completed its first 100,000 miles looking forward to second 100,000. The engine does not have any white, blue or black smoke and no engine or transmission repairs in the first 100,000 miles. ~ Ken Pugh
